Objective of job
- Conduct China OBD Production Vehicle Evaluation (PVE)
- Conduct and Support others OBD Confirmatory Tests (e.g. OBD Demonstration)
- Communication with authority on OBD regulation affairs.
- Serve as cross functional expert and support OBD development and compliance within MBC.
Main tasks
- Plan PVE Testing, monitor and report testing progress (incl. contract workshop and test lab)
- Prepare Testing: vehicle, logistic , tool, parts, documents
- Conduct PVE test on site
- Prepare troubleshooting documents
- Finalize reports and fully align with all stakeholders prior to authority submission
- Plan Confirmatory Test base on the local regulation
- Align the requirements with RD
- Prepare Testing: vehicle, logistic, tool , parts, documents
- Align the Test plan with Test lab & Workshop
- Conduct Confirmatory Test on site
- Participate on OBD Working groups representing MBC
- Support and participate on collaborative projects with authorities
- Prepare and participate authorities meetings
- Follow up Regulations updates
- Conduct lobbying activities
- Support Legal and Technical compliance Team on OBD Topics
- Support RD on regulation related topics
- Follow up Regulations updates and communicate it within MBC 4. Conduct and harmonize lobbying activities within RD ＆ QM/RZx
Qualifikationen
Qualification
‑ Master degree in mechanical, automotive or electrical engineering
‑ Strong knowledge of powertrain systems on Emissions and OBD systems and regulatory requirements
‑ Several years of experience on Emission/OBD calibration
‑ Experience with testing and data acquisition systems in the automotive field
‑ Experience investigating issues firsthand with strong analysis and problem solving abilities
‑ Detail-oriented mindset for planning and program management
‑ Ability and initiative to optimize and continuously improve processes for quality and efficiency
‑ Strong ability to communicate and work in a diverse multicultural environment
‑ Strong ability to fluently speak and negotiate in English
‑ Knowledge on the German language is an advantage
